The Memory Book is our band yearbook. Every student is required to take a band portrait for the memory book.
Pep Band is a small group of students (chosen by the directors) that will attend long distance football games. Usually, this will be our upperclassmen; however, Freshmen may be chosen if needed. All Leadership members are required to attend all Pep Band performances. The Pep Band does not perform the halftime marching show. They perform the "Stand Tunes" during the game.
Rehearsal and Performance Information
All rehearsals and performances are graded. Students must be on time, have all show music memorized, and have all materials needed in order to receive full credit. This includes a flip folder with stand tune music and a lyre. Any missing items will result in a lowered grade.
After school rehearsals are every Tuesday, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM, at the stadium and Thursday, 4:15PM - 5:45PM at the OSHS Campus. As contest season approaches, these rehearsals may extend later. Performances are every Friday night throughout the marching season and all Contests/Evaluations.
There is also the possibility of playoff games...the band will also perform for these games. Please keep these evenings/days free.
There are three (3) Saturdays in October for Marching Contests
There may be additional rehearsals called if needed. Students will be given plenty of "lead time" for these rehearsals.
PLEASE BE PROMPT IN PICKING UP YOUR STUDENT FROM EVERY REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE.
